Curtis Zackery – CZ

Author, Speaker

Curtis Zackery is a sought after speaker and author who is one of the pastors at Church of the City in Franklin, TN, one of the nation’s fastest growing, multi-campus churches. He is perhaps best known for his deep empathy and contagious passion for the gospel, which defies barriers of age, ethnicity, and religion. Whether teaching, speaking, or writing, Curtis provides a perspective on the gospel that is raw, accessible, and relevant. Curtis has served in various ministry and leadership roles over the last 15 years―including church planting, pastoring, and speaking on rest, the kingdom, and the beauty of the gospel.

He is the author of Soul Rest: Reclaim Your Life. Return to Sabbath.  Jarrid Wilson, author of Love is Oxygen says “this is a book everyone needs to read. Self-care is a lost art in today’s world, and the Sabbath is something very few of us actually practice with intentionality. If we want to lead, we need to rest. If we want to live fulfilling lives, we need to rest. This book will refresh your heart and soul.

CZ graduated from Liberty University and continued his schooling at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, CA. He worked as the program director at Kids Across America before taking on a pastoral role at Church of the City in Franklin, TN.

“There is something to be said about consistency. It builds trusting friendships held together by respect. For the last 14 years I’ve known CZ and this is what and who he’s been. Not only does he have an amazing gift for communicating, he is a true man seeking God’s heart.”
