Land of Color
Colleges, conferences & corporations bring in this amazing duo for their beautiful harmonies and smooth, west coast sound. Starbucks has brought their music into their cultivated coffeehouse playlists giving their songs more familiarity with a diverse, worldwide audience which pairs well with the international make up of the group. While they are known for entertaining musical performances on stage, they’re often a great choice for a laid-back coffeehouse atmosphere as well.
Land of Color started when two singer/song writers Gary Rea and Thomas Ewing met in the mountains of Montana in 2015. Before the band started, they each had successful careers in music but came together to create something that is unique and greater than the sum of the parts. Gary was born and raised in South Africa and Thomas is from Colorado and their different cultural and musical backgrounds have resulted in a unique sound that is a blend of African rhythms, singable melodies and tight harmonies making them an excellent choice to perform for an internationally diverse audience.
The guys talk about how the band was birthed out of community and that it was at family gatherings in the early days of their friendship that they would grab their guitars and start writing songs.
In 2018, they signed a recording contract with Remade Records, an imprint of Provident Music, a division of Sony Music. The duo currently lives in Franklin, TN.
